Job Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Developer Relations (DevRel) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with our developer community, promoting FLock.io's technology, and facilitating the growth of our ecosystem. This role combines traditional DevRel responsibilities with additional tasks such as social media promotion, educational content generation, public speaking, and hackathon support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Engagement & Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact for developers, providing support, answering questions, and facilitating their success on the FLock.io platform.
- Foster a positive and inclusive community atmosphere by moderating forums, Slack channels, Discord, and other community platforms.
- Technical Content Creation:
- Develop and publish educational content, including tutorials, blog posts, documentation, and videos to help developers understand and utilise FLock.io's technologies.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to produce technical deep-dives, case studies, and best practices.
- Advocacy & Outreach:
- Promote FLock.io through social media channels, newsletters, and community events.
- Represent FLock.io at conferences, webinars, and AMAs (Ask Me Anything) sessions, sharing the latest developments and engaging with the broader tech community.
- Ecosystem Development:
- Support hackathons and other events, providing guidance, mentorship, and resources to participants.
- Collaborate with ecosystem projects and partners to integrate FLock.io's technology, offering technical support and co-marketing opportunities.
- Feedback & Product Improvement:
- Collect and analyse feedback from the developer community to inform product improvements and new feature development.
- Work closely with the product and engineering teams to ensure the platform meets the needs of developers and the community.
- Event Coordination:
- Plan and execute online and offline events, such as workshops, meetups, and hackathons, to engage the developer community and showcase FLock.io's technology.
Qualifications:
- Experience & Education:
- Proven experience in Developer Relations, Technical Evangelism, or a similar role.
- Strong technical background, with a good understanding of AI, blockchain, and decentralised technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
- Strong writing skills, with experience in creating technical content for a developer audience.
- Active on social media and familiar with community-building strategies.
- Passionate about open-source, decentralised technologies, and community engagement.
- Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences, meetups, and other events.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
